Welcome to Army Public School - Karu
Army Goodwill School, Karu was started as a Regimental/Formation School under the aegis of Tangtse Brigade in 1998. Trishul Division took over the responsibilities of School on shifting from Leh to Karu in 2000. Mrs. Saroj Ray, then Chairperson, AWWA, Fire & Fury Corps, inaugurated the School on 02 March 2001 as Sadbhavana Institute. Accordingly, the School became an Operation Sadbhavana institute, since then its funding is being totally sponsored from Operation Sadbhavana.
In order to improve the literacy of the local population of ladakh region, Army GS provides education at subsidized fees to the local children with special emphasis on all round development of child. The school provides quality primary and secondary education under J&K Board. The special features of school are
